CLIMAX-SCOTTS COMMUNITY SCHOOLS NEEDS BUS DRIVERS!

High school diploma or equivalent required.  The individual must have: a valid Michigan driver's license, a positive driving record, and be able to obtain, within 60 days, a Commercial Driver's License with a P (passenger) and an S (school bus) endorsement. Must have the ability to manage students' behavior during transport, an excellent attendance record, be self-motivated, positive, and team-orientated with the ability to work cooperatively with staff and students. Must have the ability to read and understand maps. Must pass the State Skill Test, State Written Test, Department of Transportation physical and MDE Basic Training Program. Must be proficient in handling and maneuvering a school bus, and to be willing to take extracurricular trips.  Training is provided.  

*We pay a $500 bonus to drivers after becoming licensed, completing 40 hours of on-the-job training, and fulfilling a probationary period of 90 days, or until OTJ training is completed, whichever is longer.

*Drivers will be reimbursed $200 for each new bus driver that is recruited and still on the job in 90 calendar days.  Payment will come in the form of a gift card from an establishment of the driver's choosing.

Climax-Scotts Community Schools currently has the following coaching position available for the 2025-2026 school year: 

Varsity Golf Coach

• Experience in playing golf at the high school level or beyond is desired

• Experience in coaching the sport of golf at the high school level or beyond is desired

• Ability to effectively teach fundamental skills, game strategies, concepts, and conditioning for high school level student-athletes

• Ability to direct and develop the golf program within the structure of the MHSAA and Climax-Scotts High School guidelines

• Development and implementation of high school golf program expectations are required

• Background check and fingerprinting must be completed prior to start date

• Must follow all MHSAA and Climax-Scotts High School guidelines in regards to all coaching activities

• Additional responsibilities may be requested by athletic director

Varsity Baseball Head Coach – High School

Position: Varsity Baseball Head Coach
Location: Climax-Scotts Jr/Sr High 
Season: Spring
Stipend: Per district contract
Reports To: Athletic Director / Building Principal

Position Summary

Climax-Scotts Jr/Sr High School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Varsity Baseball Head Coach to lead and develop our baseball program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, effective communication, and a commitment to academic and athletic excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee the entire varsity baseball program
• Develop student-athletes’ skills, sportsmanship, teamwork, and character
• Create and implement effective practice plans and game strategies
• Supervise and collaborate with assistant and sub-varsity coaches
• Promote positive behavior and adherence to school and MHSAA policies
• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, staff, and administration
• Maintain equipment and assist with inventory needs
• Ensure student-athlete academic eligibility and attendance expectations
• Represent the school and program in a professional manner at all times

Qualifications

• Prior baseball coaching experience preferred (high school or higher)
• Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals and strategy
• Ability to mentor and motivate student-athletes
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Must meet all district and MHSAA coaching requirements, including:
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Concussion awareness training
  • Background check clearance
